In the system Fe2O3-In2O3, two new ferrites are characterized: In2Fe4O9at 400°C, and InFeO3at 700°C; the first is isotypic of Ln2Fe4O9with iron coordinated by four, five and six oxygen atoms, the second is isotypic of YAlO3with iron in oxygen trigonal based FeO5bipyramids only.
