A new generation algorithm for multilevel loosely synchronised (MLS) codes based on two complementary pairs of sequences is proposed. The ideal aperiodic correlation properties of these MLS codes and the possibility of using efficient correlators make worthwhile their use in applications like ultra-wideband-based local positioning systems.
