A survey has been made of chromosome studies on 47 histopathologically confirmed cases of bovine lymphosarcoma. Chromosome changes were found in 34 cases. Earlier observations that an inconstant pattern of chromosome changes occurs in this disease have been substantiated. The pattern of karyotypes observed was as follows: hypodiploid 1, diploid 5, hyperdiploid 25, and tetraploid or near tetraploid 8. In every animal in which more than one lymph node was analyzed, the same cell line(s) was found in each node. One of the X sex chromosomes was missing in 10 cases, and may have been missing in 2 others.
