This is the 4th part in Dr. Nielson's world revision of the leafhoppers in the subfamily Coelidiinae. The tribe Coelidiini, covered in this monograph, has the widest distribution of any tribe treated thus far, occurring in all zoogeographical regions except the Nearctic and Palaearctic. The tribe is redefined, and descriptions and illustrations are provided for 186 species; 35 of the 39 known genera and 133 of the 186 valid species are newly described. A separate checklist, with synonyms, is given for all genera and species of the tribe.
