The practical performance of Gc-tests is analyzed. The conditions of stability for a three-point bend test on a notched beam are calculated by using the fictitious crack model. The results are presented in Fig. 1.Gc-values for different concrete qualities are determined from stable three-point bend tests on the notched beams. The results in this paper imply that Gcis strongly influenced by the quality of the aggregate, the water-cement-ratio and the age of the concrete (Fig. 4–8).
