Many psychological factors impact pulmonary health and health care, especially for patients who are followed in pulmonary rehabilitation (PR). Thus, this Infographic provides an overview of four psychological factors with the most robust scientific support from patients with pulmonary diseases. A large portion of this literature has focused on patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), but literature reflecting other pulmonary diseases is included as available. Notably, several of the highlighted psychological factors are also relevant for patients in cardiac rehabilitation. 1
