There are two things to be said about this book which summarize most of its negative qualities: these are words to be spoken, by the woman who spoke them, in her unique manner of speaking them; if they were to have been oriented to readers, they should have been ruthlessly edited. Miss Grennan's bold and courageous deeds in and on behalf of value-oriented higher education speak for themselves. To this reader, at least, those deeds are more eloquent than the sometimes pretentious, sometimes patronizing, exceedingly first-person exhortations which characterize Where I
