The article focuses on case report related to contact urticaria to strawberry. Immediate reactions to certain fruits and vegetables have been described, but contact urticaria to strawberry has not been reported. A 25 year old woman presented with a history of recurrent rashes during the 3 summers that she was employed as a strawberry picker. Typically she noticed itching, burning or erythema on her fingers within 30 minutes of handling the fruit and developed macular urticarial lesions on her thighs and neck an hour or two after eating it. An open challenge test to strawberry on her forearms produced a strong urticarial weal within 15 minutes.
