Five new pregnane glycosides, perisepiumosides A–E (1–5, resp.), along with the seven known constituents 6–12, were isolated from the root barks of Periploca sepiumBge. (Asclepiadaceae), a traditional Chinese medicine used for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis and wounds. Their structures were characterized on the basis of spectroscopic analyses.
