A novel hyperbranched conjugated polymer with benzene as core, phenylene vinylene as connecting groups and dimethylamino benzene as end groups (DMA-HPV) was synthesized and characterized. It shows excellent solubility, film-forming ability and very high thermal stability Tg = 255°C, TID = 398°C). Its fluorescence quantum efficiency in film is almost as large as that in solution (∼50%). The light emitting diodes and the light emitting cells were fabricated.
