In our opinion, the following four criteria determine chiefly thequality of lifeafter total gastrectomy:1)Physical fitness.2)Capability to work and to resume the preillness occupation.3)Absence or only insignificant, easily tolerable existence of alimentary complaints and dysfunctions.4)Overcoming the psychological trauma of the disease.
