A novel method to facilely control the formation and chiral arrangement of silver nanoparticles has been developed for the first time in organogel templates from a single gelator at different cooling rates. Both the molecular chirality of glycosyl and the helical arrangement of nanoparticles contribute to their asymmetric Cotton effects.
