Objective: To study the structural specificity of HPV16 E6 gene from esophageal cancer tissues of Xinjiang Kazakh’s patients. Methods: HPV16 E6 gene was amplified in 8 cases with HPV16 E6-positive sample from eighteen kazakh cases esophageal cancer tissues in Xinjiang. Results: HPV16 E6 gene was successfully cloned. In comparison with the prototype accepted by GeneBank,there were one point mutation in HPV16 E6 nucleotide sequence and the deduced amino acid Sequence of HPV16 E6 protein was changed. Conclusion: Variations take place in the nucleotide sequence of HPV16 E6 gene obtained from kazakh’s (esophageal) cancer tissues of Xinjiang patient
