A copper-catalyzed aziridination of aliphatic alkenes promoted byN-heterocyclic carbene ligands is described. The readily available catalyst IPrCu(DBM) can catalyze aziridination of a variety of aliphatic alkenes using alkenes as the limiting reagents.
