The World Health Organization (WHO) recently launched a global campaign for eliminating hepatitis C virus (HCV) as a public health threat by the year 2030. The campaign aims to reduce HCV incidence by 80% and HCVrelated mortality by 65%, primarily through achieving a diagnosis rate of at least 90% and treatment coverage rate of at least 80%. However, most countries do not have a national strategy for HCV screening and treatment that can lead to HCV elimination.
