In this paper, a geometrical interpretation of anomalous refraction characteristics at a spatially discontinuous boundary in the transformation electromagnetics is presented. Refraction characteristics of electromagnetic waves at the spatially discontinuous boundary is analyzed based on the ray tracing method, and the validity of analysis is confirmed based on the wave propagation simulations based on the equivalent circuit of full-tensor anisotropic media. It is shown that the behaviors at the spatially discontinuous boundary is geometrically interpreted as a consequence of the Huygens' principle and the metric change due to the coordinate transformation.
