BACKGROUNDSweet’s syndrome (SS) or acute febrile neutrophilic dermatosis is an infrequent skin disease characterized by sudden onset of fever, leukocytosis, and tender erythematous skin lesions infiltrated by neutrophils that respond promptly to systemic corticosteroids. The drug-induced variant of SS is rare and several medications have been associated with it. Trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole SS was the first drug induced SS reported in the literature in 1986. Twenty two years later it reminds very rare since only two previous cases were reported (in 1986 and 1996)(1, 2). We report here a further case of this disorder in a child.
