We have proposed and fabricated a resonant-tunneling-diode (RTD) THz oscillator that generates a vortex wave. The RTD is integrated in the cross slot on the substrate, and a radial line slot antenna (RLSA) is spirally placed around the RTD. The output of RTD is incident from the cross slot into the substrate, and emitted from the RLSA as a vortex wave. In the measured radiation pattern of the fabricated oscillator, a dip of the output intensity was observed on the central axis, which is a feature of the vortex wave.
