We would like to thank Roy and Rao for their comments. Although we agree that an estimate of the ocular perfusion pressure would be helpful, one cannot assume that the blood pressure measurements taken in the brachial artery reflect the blood pressure in the optic nerve; thus, this type estimation of the ocular perfusion pressure may not be ideal. 1There are many published studies that have employed such parameter as a surrogate measure for the ocular perfusion pressure, 2–4 most of which acknowledge this limitation.
