IT has already been shown by Slopek and one of us (T. U.) that 1,3-oxazine derivatives have a marked antituberculous activityin vivo.However, those compounds which are derivatives of nitroparaffins and contain a nitro-group show a relatively high toxicity on prolonged administration. This led one of us (T. U.) to look for less toxic derivatives of 1,3-oxazine2.
