High-Wage countries face the dilemmas of valuevs. planning orientation and the dilemma of economies of scale vs. economies of scope summed up in the term polylemma. To reduce the dilemma of planning vs. value orientation cognitive technical systems seem to be a promising approach. In this paper the requirements of such a cognitive system in a production environment is presented. Furthermore a first concept of a software architecture is given. To implement a knowledge base for a cognitive technical system certain formalism were scrutinized for their suitability in this approach and a possible use case for such a cognitive technical system is presented.
