学校教育では ICT 活用が推進され, 子どもたちが教室でタブレット端末を利用する機会が増えている. しかしその一方で, 子どもの視力低下や視覚疲労などの健康面への影響が懸念されている. 実際に, 学校保健統計調査によると, 小学生の裸眼視力における 1.0 未満の割合は毎年増加している. 本稿では, 学校教育における情報化の状況や, 児童のタブレット端末利用による身体疲労, 学校でデジタル機器を安全安心に用いるために検討されている指針について解説した.AbstractThe use of information and communication technology (ICT) has been promoted in school education, and opportunities for children to use tablet computers in the classroom have been increasing. However, there are concerns about the health impacts of ICT use, such as visual acuity loss and visual fatigue, among children. In fact, according to a school health statistics survey, the percentage of elementary school students with< 1.0 vision is increasing every year. Herein, we review the current state of ICT use in school education, physical fatigue in children using tablet computers, and guidelines for the safe and secure use of digital devices in schools.
