Abstract The segmental moment of inertia values obtained from 7 of the 8 cadavers reported by Dempster were scaled to a common height and weight. The scaled values for each segment for the 7 cadavers were averaged. An equation is given for rescaling the Dempster average values for use with any individual in proportion to their height and weight.
