The influence of 30% crude oil (v/v) on the following corrosion properties of J55 carbon steel in supercritical CO2/brine was investigated at 9 MPa and different temperatures (50 °C, 65 °C, and 80 °C): corrosion rate, morphology, chemical composition, and corrosion depth distribution. Crude oil had an evident inhibitory effect on corrosion and could change morphology and corrosion type. In the analysis of corrosion depth distribution, 42.14% of the exposed surface area was occupied, and this value was much larger than that of other methods. Corrosion depth distribution conformed to Gauss distribution, and the distribution parameters could reflect the average corrosion rate and corrosion morphology.
