Gaucher disease is a rare autosomal-recessive disorder characterized by a deficiency of glucocerebrosidase3. Clinically, it may involve a variety of organ systems including bone. The skeletal manifestations of Gaucher disease are varied and include decreased bone mass, infection. and necrosis9’522. Although lymphoproliferative disorders such as multiple myeboma and chronic lymphocytic leukemia occur in patients who have Gaucher disease2’4, sarcomas have not been reported, to our knowledge. We describe a malignant epithelioid hemangioendothelioma of the tibia a rare vascular tumor of bone that developed in association with a bone infarct in a patient who had Gaucher disease. We are not aware of any previous reports of malignant epithelioid hemangioendothelioma in association with a bone infarct.
