Aim:To improve knowledge about latent Tuberculosis infection (LTBI) amongst recent migrants living in England and to increase the uptake of screening.Background:Identifying and treating LTBI is a key component of global TB policy and England has led the way internationally with the introduction of programmatic screening for LTBI amongst recent migrants from high TB-burden countries using a simple blood test. Globally, 1 in 4 people are infected. However, early results from the national programme have shown that uptake of the screening test is less than 40 percent.
