Distributional characteristics of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in urban air were investigated with respect to gas-particle partitioning and dependency on particle size. The relationship between the gas particle distributions of PAH and ambient temperature was described using the Langmuir adsorption concept, while the particle size dependency was demonstrated based on a Lundgren type mass distribution.
