Fc. 5.(Upper) Roentgenogram of cliest, show-ing an intrapulmonary mass immediately adjacent to the cardiac silhouette and another in left apex. fication and some blue-grey fragments suggestive of cartilage. Microscopically, there were cellular masses of spindle-shaped cells which alternated with large foci of chondroblastic and osteoblastic activity of a bizarro type (Figs. 7 to 9). Third Admission. The patient returned in November, 1951, because he had discovered a mass at the site of his original thigh opcration. A small, bony-hard tumor was removed under local anesthesia. Findings from a skeletal survey, and blood chemistry determinations, including serum alkaline phosphatase, calcium and phosphorus levels were all within normal limits.
