MRSP is the attempt to provide a three-dimensional survey of galaxies and quasars to be employed as a uniform data set for studying strongly interdependent cosmological properties: large-scale structure and larger-scale homogeneity and isotropy, parameters of the Friedmann-Lemaître universe, and predictions from hierarchical and inflationary models. So far, the survey covers about 360 square degrees. Data from the first 180 square degrees were used to develop methods and to obtain preliminary results, presented here to illustrate the above applications.
