A tissue culture method for rapid clonal multiplication of Gerbera jamesonii Bolus is described. Shoot tips are used as initial explants, but the multiplication is accomplished by repeatedly separating and reculturing the miniature divisions which arise from shoot tips. The procedure requires two principle steps in vitro: increase of divisions and preparation of divisions for transfer to soil.
