Abstract CD3 SP+ sp TCR SP-sp T cell development was impaired in MHC class II KO mice, but T cells were increased in the absence of MHC class II compared with WT mice (Fig. MHC class II inhibits the generation of IL-17A+V 6 T cells in the thymus at perinatal stage To determine the effects of MHC class II on T cell development, we first investigated the V repertoire of T cells in the newborn thymus, at which time V 6 SP+ sp T cells are present at a peak level [6].
