ResultsWe identified 1053 living donors at our center (January 2010–July 2022) who had implantation biopsies performed (see Supplementary Methods). Median age was 44 years, 621 (59%) identified as White race/ethnicity, 125 (12%) identified as Black, 209 (20%) identified as Hispanic, and 78 (7%) identified as Asian (Supplementary Table S1). Fifty-six (5%) donors had history of hypertension, among whom 47 had 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure results available, showing median percentage of readingsDiscussionTaken together, these observations corroborate an age-dependent decrease in eGFR that occurs in a cohort of highly screened, healthy individuals and that is not modified by nephrosclerosis, 1, 2, 3 and allow us to provide reference ranges for normal GS across the adult lifespan derived from donors extensively screened for signs of kidney dysfunction. They also demonstrate that normal GS values do not differ by race.
