A theorem of Kim (see [12]) gives an explicit relationship between the quantum cohomology of the generalized complex flag manifold G/B and the conserved quantities of the Toda lattice associated to the dual group (with respect to the root system) of G. The goal of this note is to outline the main ideas of Kim’s proof: we hope that our exposition will make these ideas accessible to a larger class of interested people.
