Behavioral Thermoregulation from many other procedures, machineor hand-operated. The economy and convenience of the method make it, in our estimation, superior in some cases both to other hand-processing methods and to punched-card operations that rely on central-office machine installa-tions. Speed and flexibility are its major advantages. It has, of course, some limitations: punching by hand is slower than punching by conventionalma-chine methods, and cards can accommodate only a limited number of cases. These drawbacks are in many instances more than outweighed by the advantages. The individual research worker looking for in-almost-any-pocket convenienceat in-almost-anypocketbook price may well wish to con-sider this method as a means for solving his data-processing problem.
