Features of Seafloor Topography in the Bohai Sea

根据2004—2010年在渤海开展的地形地貌调查资料，并结合前人研究成果，详细描述了渤海划分的5个地形区（辽东湾、渤海湾、莱州湾、渤海中央盆地和渤海海峡）的海底地形和典型微地形，并与渤海地形图进行对比。 1985年发表的《海底地形变化》一文，试图寻找近几十年来海底地形的变化并分析其成因。结果表明，渤海海底相当平坦，从辽东湾、渤海湾、莱州湾向东部的渤海中央盆地和渤海海峡呈平缓倾斜，平均水深18m，与四十多年前的水深相比，现在的水深受环境变化和人类活动影响，沿海部分地区水深变浅，而渤海中部盆地则因侵蚀作用，水深变深。
Based on the topographical and geomorphological data obtained in the surveys carried out in the Bohai Sea from 2004 to 2010 and by combining with previous studies as well,the seafloor topography and typical micro-topography in five topographical regions(the Liaodong Bay,the Bohai Bay,the Laizhou Bay,the Bohai Central Basin and the Bohai Strait) divided in the Bohai Sea are described in detail and compared to the topographical map of the Bohai Sea published in 1985,trying to find the changes in the seafloor topography in the last decades years and to analyze their causes.The results show that the seafloor of the Bohai Sea is quite flat,with a gentle tilt being from the Liaodong Bay,the Bohai Bay and the Laizhou Bay toward the Bohai Central Basin and the Bohai Strait located in the east.The averaged water depth is 18m.Compared with the water depth over forty years ago,the present water depth in parts of the coastal area becomes shallower due to environmental changes and human activities.In the Bohai Central Basin,however,the water depth becomes deeper due to the erosion there.
