THE Williams syndrome is characterized by the triad supravalvular aortic stenosis, mental retardation, and an elfin facies.1,2In addition, mild microcephaly, neurologic dysfunction, hallux valgus, hernias, pectus excavatum, and other congenital cardiac and vascular defects may be present.
