Investigation on the constituents of the fruit of Bupleurum falcatum L, resulted in the isolation of the three new glycosides, phenethyl alcohol 8-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1 --> 2)-O-beta-D-apiofuranosyl-(1 --> 6)-beta-D-glucopyranoside, phenethyl alcohol 8-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1 --> 2)-beta-D-glucopyranoside and isopentenol 1-O-beta-D-apiofuranosyl-(1 --> 6)-beta-D-glucopyranoside along with five known glycosides, icariside D-1, icariside F-2, saikosaponin a, saikosaponin c and saikosaponin d.
