It was found that the L-isomers of alanine and alanine hydrochloride were adsorbed preferentially by l,-quartz, while the D-isomers were adsorbed by d-quartz from ethanol solution at −80°C. The asymmetricity of adsorption fell in the range 1.3–2.2.
