As I board the plane from Perth to London following a visit to the Telethon Kids Institute, there was time to reflect on current events in the UK. Everywhere I went in Australia, people asked me what was going to happen to the UK post-BREXIT. Like everyone else, I could not answer. For reasons still perplexing to me and many others, why we propelled our wonderful country into the mouth of a tiger remains a complete mystery. Be that as it may,‘we are where we are’—between a rock and a hard place. Maybe this time next year, I can write more optimistically about such a life-changing event.
