A multi-campus, metropolitan research university has combined collaborative alliances, technology, and knowledge management to cost effectively and conveniently respond to economic and educational needs in the central Florida area. University- community college collaborative partnership expansion efforts have provided convenient access to high quality undergraduate and graduate programs for traditional and nontraditional students in the central Florida area. The article includes a description of knowledge management principles, the value of organizational knowledge, and the management thereof within a multi-campus system. The authors examine academic information and access needs, and knowledge management at the University of Central Florida within the context of the organization's culture and Internet access, particularly at remote campus locations.
