In this paper, the analysis on axisymmetrical ultimate punching strength of concrete slabs is presented by using Hsich-Ting-Chen strength criterion. The expressions for the stresses on punching failure plane have been derived. By use of the rigid-plastic model, the axisymmetrical failure mechanism is established, and the upper bound of ultimate punching strength is obtained by the virtual work equation. The numerical results are in good agreement with other available data.
