A simple recognition moth comprised of two edge-to-face pi-pi interactions and one hydrogen bond generates a family of double-stranded zipper complexes from a set of amide oligomers. Cooperativity between the individual recognition sites leads to a substantial increase in the stability of the complexes with increasing oligomer length.
