An optical multicast contention solution scheme, feedback shared limited-range multi-wavelength converters(LMWC) combined with output shared full-range single wavelength converters(FRWC),is studied in this paper in wavelength domain. The limited-range multi-wavelength first algorithm is put forward to assign wavelength channel resource for contending optical multicast packets. The method of maximum bipartite matching with minimum edges weight is brought forward to select the multi-wavelength converter to resolve the multicast confliction with wavelength conversion.Compared with the output share-per-node architecture of full-range multi-wavelength converters,or the output share-per-node architecture of full-range single-wavelength converters, our simulation results also show that the proposed scheme reduces the packet loss probability markedly, cuts down the required number of limited-range multi-wavelength converters and improves the wavelength converter utilization. The further study also indicates that different wavelength conversion ranges have different effects on the proposed scheme performance.
