In this paper, the experimental study of droplet impacting on inclined wetted wall is carried out by combining the pixel analysis method and high-speed photography technology, and the experimental phenomena in the corrugated plate separator are observed. The upper We (pv(2)D/mu) limit and the lower We limit of spreading or forming crown are obtained. The following conclusions are drawn: 1. Droplet impacting on the inclined surface at conventional velocity to produce splashing, crown but no splashing, and spreading; 2. The inclination angle of droplet has great influence on spreading factor, while the We has little influence on spreading factor. 3. Droplet impact on the inclined surface at low velocity to produce low-velocity spreading, jetting, partial rebound, and complete rebound outcomes. 4. With the increase of the angle, the upper We limit and the lower We limit of spreading or forming crown increases. (C) 2019 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
