The incidence of sexual behavior increased after an injection of Arg8-vasotocin or Arg8-vasopressin into intact male newts (Taricha granulosa). Administration of Arg vasopressin to males that were castrated 35 days earlier enhanced sexual behaviors in only those males implanted with androgen.
