The anesthetic experience with our patient emphasizes several points.(1) Patients with SJS should be considered at risk for developing anesthetic complications, inc! uding thermoregulatory instability.(2) Malignant hyperpyrexia should be added to cardiac conduction defects, pulmonary insufficiency, and untoward reactions to depolarizing agents as a potential anesthetic hazard for patients with well-defined neuromuscular diseases.(3) Even with the administration of reportedly" safe" anesthetic agents, malignant hyperpyrexia may develop in patients with neuromuscular disorders?-'"
