The article describes the case of a 58-year-old female patient with a history of stage IV metastatic melanoma treated with vemurafenib, and who developed a decrease in ATP2A2 gene expression in keratoacanthoma-like papules with acantholysis. The diagnosis was confirmed after performing physical assessment, histopathologic examination and pathological analysis. The role of vemurafenib in the occurrence of squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) and verrucal keraosis is discussed.
