We will consider splitting of certain singular fibers. The singular fibers dealt with in this paper are the singular fibers in certain holomorphic fibration of genus g whose total space is diffeo- morphic to CP 2 #(4g+5)CP 2 . We study how these singular fibers split into Lefschetz type singular fibers. We also study the monodromies about the new Lefschetz type singular fibers obtained by splitting.
