Testing object-oriented systems is a very important issue as more and more organizations are starting to develop Java-based applications. Many such organizations have been forced to come up with their own solutions for assuring the quality of their product. However, little attention has been focused on this subject at Java-centred conferences or in Java literature. There is a particular scarcity of literature on “how to” test Java systems as well as tools to support such testing. For organizations just starting to use Java for major projects this is a very worrying situation.
