This paper analyzes the small signal stability of wind power systems, using Squirrel Cage Induction Generators and Doubly Fed Induction Generators which are today the most used rotating machines for manufacturers on wind farms. It is presented the eigenvalue analysis of theses wind turbines near 2MW and an application in a wind farm using an open source toolbox.
